World Order

£54.99

World Order is a strategic area-majority board game for 2–4 players that puts you in control of one of the four major global powers of the 2010s. Combining diplomacy, economics and military influence, players compete to reshape international relations and establish themselves as the dominant force in a rapidly changing world.

The year is 2010, and the global balance of power is beginning to shift. The once-unrivalled influence of the United States is weakening, while China is emerging as an increasingly powerful force on the world stage. Russia is locked in a complex geopolitical contest with Washington, and the European Union is attempting to strengthen its own position and identity.

Against this changing backdrop, players take control of the United States of America, People's Republic of China, Russian Federation, or European Union, each with its own strengths and strategic possibilities. Your objective is to expand your influence across the globe and ultimately achieve global hegemony.

A Race for Global Hegemony

There is more than one way to build your influence in World Order. Diplomacy can be used to establish valuable regional alliances, economic relationships can make other nations increasingly dependent on your power, while military strength provides a more direct way to protect your interests and pressure your rivals.

Success requires balancing these different tools rather than relying on a single strategy. The international situation continues to develop throughout the game, forcing players to respond to their opponents while looking for opportunities to strengthen their own position.

Four Global Powers

Each player represents one of four major powers competing for international influence:

  • United States of America

  • People's Republic of China

  • Russian Federation

  • European Union

Each power offers its own abilities, advantages and strategic challenges, giving players different approaches to building influence and competing for control.

Diplomacy, Economics and Military Power

World Order brings several interconnected systems together to recreate the competition between major powers on the international stage.

  • Diplomatic Influence – Build relationships and form alliances to strengthen your position in strategically important regions.

  • Economic Power – Develop trade and economic dependencies that can draw other nations into your sphere of influence.

  • Military Strength – Establish a military presence and use the threat of force to protect your interests and challenge competing powers.

  • Area-Majority Strategy – Compete for influence across different regions of the world, where every decision can affect the wider balance of power.

  • Dominance Decks – Each global power has distinct strengths and weaknesses, while deck-building elements allow your strategy to develop as the game progresses.

Inspired by theories of international relations, World Order combines its geopolitical setting with competitive strategic gameplay, giving players the freedom to pursue influence through negotiation, economic leverage, military pressure, or a carefully judged combination of all three.
