Pathfinder Quest Board Game

£100.99

Pathfinder Quest is a cooperative adventure board game for 1–4 players, combining character creation, tactical combat, exploration and an evolving story across a multi-session campaign. Set in the world of Pathfinder, it offers the feel of a roleplaying adventure in a board game format, with no Gamemaster required.

The people of Falcon’s Hollow have lived a relatively peaceful life beneath the shadow of Droskar’s Crag, a huge volcano overlooking Darkmoon Vale. That peace is suddenly shattered when the region’s dungeons are discovered to contain more than a century’s worth of dangerous monsters. Now the mountain has begun to spew smoke and ash, threatening everyone who calls the Vale home.

With danger closing in, a group of adventurers must uncover what is happening beneath the mountain and face the growing threat before it is too late. Your decisions will determine how the story develops and could ultimately decide the fate of Falcon’s Hollow and the wider Darkmoon Vale.

Create Your Own Adventurer

In Pathfinder Quest, you can build your character from the ground up, selecting from a range of ancestries, backgrounds and classes before choosing the skills and abilities that will define how your hero plays. Alternatively, you can jump straight into the action with one of the ready-made iconic characters.

Whether you prefer facing enemies in close combat, supporting your companions, using powerful abilities or approaching challenges in a completely different way, the character system gives you plenty of freedom to develop your adventurer throughout the campaign.

A Campaign Shaped by Your Decisions

The campaign is built around 12 possible adventures, with each adventure presenting its own encounters, challenges and decisions. Every choice can have consequences, and the results of your actions are gradually revealed through the Challenge Book, ensuring that players do not know in advance whether their decisions will lead to success, danger or something completely unexpected.

As the campaign continues, your characters become stronger, gain new abilities and equipment, encounter increasingly dangerous enemies and discover valuable treasure. Decisions made along the way are recorded, allowing your actions to influence later parts of the story.

Adventure Without a Gamemaster

Pathfinder Quest is designed to capture the experience of a campaign-style fantasy adventure without requiring one player to run the game. The system handles encounters and challenges, allowing everyone at the table to take part as an adventurer.

The game also introduces its rules gradually as you play, making it approachable for players who are new to Pathfinder or adventure board games while still offering character development, tactical choices and an ongoing campaign for more experienced groups.

Exploration, Combat and Teamwork

Throughout the campaign, players explore locations using double-sided map tiles, confront enemies and work together to overcome increasingly difficult encounters.

Cooperation is important, but so are the individual choices made by each character. Deciding when to use abilities, how to approach an encounter and which risks are worth taking can have lasting consequences as your group works towards discovering what is really threatening Darkmoon Vale.
