Normandy '44 (2024, 4th Printing)
Normandy '44 (4th Printing) is a detailed regimental-level wargame covering the D-Day landings on June 6th, 1944, and the intense fighting across Normandy during the critical three weeks that followed. This edition incorporates previously identified errata while remaining consistent with the earlier printing.
Designed for 2–4 players, the game places you in command of either Allied or German forces during a decisive phase of the Second World War, where timing, coordination, and resource management are crucial.

About the game:
Set during the immediate aftermath of the D-Day landings, the game focuses on the narrow window in which German forces had a realistic opportunity to contain and potentially repel the Allied invasion before overwhelming reinforcements arrived.
The Allied player must push inland from the beaches, linking up forces and securing key objectives such as Cherbourg, while British units engage heavily defended German positions around Caen. Meanwhile, the German player must carefully deploy limited reserves, including powerful panzer divisions, to delay or disrupt the Allied advance.
Each turn represents a single day, with units operating at regimental or brigade scale (with armoured units typically represented at battalion level). The system uses a clean “Move, Fight, Reserve Movement” sequence, keeping gameplay accessible while still offering meaningful depth.
Combat outcomes are influenced by troop quality, armour strength, and supporting elements such as artillery, air power, naval bombardment, and heavy tank units. This creates a dynamic battlefield where positioning and timing are critical.
The game includes a full 22-turn campaign, along with shorter scenarios such as a tournament game focused on linking the beachheads and a dedicated Cherbourg operation. Optional rules also allow for expanded multiplayer experiences.
