About the Game:
Set against the vast deserts of North Africa, Panzer North Africa recreates the fast-moving armoured warfare that defined the campaign between Axis and Allied forces. Players command individual tanks, vehicles, infantry squads, artillery, and aircraft while managing battlefield leadership, morale, command control, and tactical positioning.
The game is built around a detailed yet streamlined system where every vehicle is represented individually. Armour thickness, hit locations, firing angles, ammunition types, and crew quality all influence battlefield performance. Infantry operations are equally important, with squads, sections, and support weapons playing key roles in both attack and defence.
The modular rules structure allows players to tailor complexity to their preferences. Newcomers can begin with the Basic Rules, while experienced players can incorporate Advanced and Optional systems covering overwatch fire, indirect artillery, air support, smoke deployment, mines, command cohesion, morale effects, close assaults, and many other aspects of tactical combat.
The game includes 32 historical scenarios covering a wide variety of engagements between German, Italian, and British forces. Five dedicated solitaire scenarios and a linked campaign game provide substantial replayability, while the geomorphic mapboards and terrain overlays allow players to create countless unique battlefield layouts.
With its combination of historical depth, detailed armour modelling, and flexible scenario design, Panzer North Africa offers an outstanding tactical World War II experience for players who enjoy commanding forces at the sharp end of battle.
