About the Game:
By the spring of 1945, the Red Army has driven German forces back across Eastern Europe and now stands at the gates of Berlin. The final objective is clear: capture the German capital and bring the war in Europe to an end.
In Berlin: Fall of the Reich, 1945, you direct Soviet operations while the game system manages the German defenders. Although the German army is weakened, it remains dangerous, using strong defensive positions, hidden troop concentrations, and unexpected resistance to slow your advance through the city.
Each turn presents new challenges through random events, uncertain reinforcements, fluctuating supply deliveries, and unpredictable German deployments. As Soviet troops push deeper into Berlin's suburbs, industrial districts, and heavily fortified government buildings, casualties mount and exhausted units are forced out of action. Every decision becomes increasingly important as the battle reaches its climax.
The campaign spans nine turns and recreates the historical race to seize Berlin before political expectations turn into pressure. Capturing key objectives is important, but maintaining Stalin's confidence is equally critical. Success depends on balancing speed, losses, and strategic priorities while overcoming the city's determined defenders.
With a setup time of under 15 minutes, low counter density, and a constantly changing battlefield situation, the game delivers an accessible yet rewarding experience that can be enjoyed by both newcomers and veteran wargamers.
